I have loved design of all types for as long as I can remember. I remember drawing and entering art contests in the 5th grade. I won after entering a drawing of a princess with a pearl encrusted bodice on her dress. I remember drawing every single pearl, that is the impression it left on me.
Once I "grew up" I focused more on my financial future and didn't think an artist had much of one. If only I had realized earlier that web design could fulfill my passion for art and being creative I would have made this my main focus in college. I would have spent that 99 college credits on a degree in web design as opposed to changing my major 4 times and ending up with an Associates of Arts in Paralegalism. Maybe it was confidence in my artistic ability that influenced that decision.One day I decided to take a Drawing I college class and I realized that I had the talent, just not the skill. I learned to see things differently and gained confidence in the process. As luck would have it, I found a job that required good technical skills and ended up being exposed to the web and web design in my current job. After 8 years of learning little by little about the web, I was fortunate to have a freelance web design job float around me and I grabbed onto it like I have never done in my professional career. I couldn't believe it! You can feel passionate about your career???!!!
I am currently working on my Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems at Friends University. I work part time, but since I LOVE the work, I have a hard time putting your project down when its time to go to sleep and I have to be up at 6am the next day! I am willing to learn as much as I can and is needed for your project on my own time and expense. *I only charge for the actual work done. I will work with you to achieve the design you are envisioning or will provide you with creative options for you to choose from.
